From 19 to 21 November, Form 5 preformed the award-winning play, Blood Brothers at The High School. The play was an overwhelming success and everyone enjoyed it. Every night was packed-out and the crowds gave us a great reception. The play had been organised over the last few months by the pupils from Form 5 and nurtured under the watchful eye of Ms Browne, Mr Milofsky and Ms Lyons.
Blood Brothers, written by Willy Russell, and revolves around the story of twins Mickey and Eddie who were separated at birth. This production was tackled head-on by a talented cast of actors and fine directors who took to the play with great enthusiasm. The set design was spearheaded by a team of talented pupils who made sure that Blood Brothers was a sight to behold. The Hair and Make-up Department made sure we all looked presentable on stage. The Chair Committee made sure everyone was comfortable and also served refreshments. The people in charge of sound, the ticket sellers and the stage hands were all crucial to the performances' success.
Praise is also due to the four stage managers, Sophie Haynes, Emma Taylor, Ellen Galvin and Joe Prendergast, who made sure that everything worked properly and ran smoothly. We also have to commend the Communications Directors, Musa, Tim and Dylan for their hard work and to thank our sponsors. Finally, we must give our thanks to the heads of security David Donnelly and Ronan O’Byrne and all those who played their part in the play's success. Naoise Law (5GF)
